Sign with several people

Some deals need more than one signature: a director and finance, or two partners. Open Send or the agreement slide's Who signs and add up to five people. Pick them from your client's contacts or type a name, email and role, each up to 40 characters.

Each person gets their own email with their own link. To sign, they confirm their email address with a one-time code, as every client does. The first person to sign chooses the options and quantities; everyone after them signs exactly those. Anyone who wants something else can ask for a change.

Sign in this order makes people sign one after another. Everyone can read the proposal straight away, but only the next person can sign, and we email them when it is their turn. Reminders to sign go only to that person too. Without it, they sign in any order.

While signatures are missing, the proposal shows who has signed and who you are waiting for, and your proposals list says Signed 1 of 3. Only when everyone has signed is the proposal signed. The signed PDF is made then: it lists each signer's name, role and email, their signature, when they signed and how their email was confirmed. Every signer gets the PDF and, if you set up payments, how to pay.

If one person declines, the proposal stops there and the people who already signed are told. Publishing a new version, for example after a change request, voids the signatures on the earlier one: everyone signs the new version.

A proposal with any signature can't be moved to Trash, even when the signature is on a replaced version. It stays in your list, like a signed proposal.

The free plan has one signer per proposal; paid plans have up to five.

Countersign

Turn on We sign after them to add your company's signature after your client's. Only people ticked under Settings, Team as able to sign for the company can countersign. When everyone at the client has signed, they get an email; they open the proposal, select Countersign and draw, type or use their saved signature. Their name and position from Your profile go on it, up to 40 characters each. The signed PDF and the emails follow straight away.

You can countersign after the valid-until date: it is your own offer you are confirming. With countersigning on, your signature is not shown in advance on the agreement slide.
