Create your account and organization

Propozit has no passwords. You sign up and sign in with your email address, and each time we send you a 6-digit code. After your first sign-in you create an organization: the place where your brand, company details and team live.

Create your account

1. Go to Create your account, or type your work email in Create your account at the bottom of the home page.
2. Fill in Your name and Work email.
3. Select Create account.

Propozit sends a code to that address and opens the code screen. If you already have an account with that address, you get a sign-in code instead and the same screen, so nothing changes for you.

If many accounts are made from the same network in a short time, the page says "Too many sign-ups from this network. Try again in an hour."

If a team invited you, follow Invite your team.

Enter your code

The code screen is headed Check your email.

1. Open the email from Propozit and copy the 6-digit code.
2. Type it into Code and select Verify.

If the code is wrong or too old, the screen says "That code is wrong or has expired. Request a new one below." Select Send a new code and use the newest email. After each code, the button waits a minute and shows the time left.

Sign in next time

1. Go to Sign in.
2. Fill in Email and select Send code.
3. Enter the code on Check your email and select Verify.

For privacy, the code screen looks the same whether or not an account exists for that address: "We sent a code to … if it has an account." If no email arrives, check the address, then use the Create one link on that line.

Put Propozit on your phone's home screen

You can open Propozit from an icon, like an app. It is still the website, without the browser bars: not an app-store app, and it does not work offline.

• iPhone (Safari): select Share, then Add to Home Screen.
• Android (Chrome): open the menu, then select Install app or Add to Home screen.
• Chrome or Edge on a computer: select the install icon in the address bar.

You sign in as usual. Your clients are never offered this on a proposal.

Create your organization

After your first sign-in, Propozit asks you to Create your organization. Required fields have a red star (*). You can change the name, link, website and the proposal defaults later under Settings, on the General tab. Owners and admins can change the kind of business under Settings → General.

1. Organization name: your studio, agency or trading name, for example "Northwind Studio".
2. Your Propozit link: filled in from the name as you type, after propozit.com/app/. It is where your team opens Propozit. Use 3 to 48 lowercase letters, numbers or single dashes. If the link is taken, Propozit adds a number, such as northwind-studio-2, and the next screen tells you which one you got. You can change it later under Settings.
3. Website: optional, for example acme.com.
4. What kind of business is it?: choose one, such as Freelancer: design or Agency: web and digital.
5. Under Defaults for new proposals, pick a Proposal language (English, Dutch, French or German), a Currency and a Timezone. The timezone is filled in from your browser.
6. Select Create organization.

Next comes setup from your website. If you entered a website, Propozit reads it first and suggests your brand, company details, prices, work and team for you to confirm. Without one, the same screens open empty for you to fill in by hand. You can skip any screen. VAT and how you speak to clients

Admins set the VAT rates you pick from in each proposal under Settings → Company, and How you speak to clients (formal or informal, for Dutch and German) under Settings → General. See Payment plans, VAT and the checks.

What comes next

On the Decks page, the Get ready list tracks three things: Set up your brand, Add your company details and Invite your team. Each item links to the settings tab that completes it. When you are ready to make a deck, Build your first proposal walks you through it.

You can belong to more than one organization. Use the organization menu at the top of the sidebar to switch, or choose + New organization to create another.
