Attach files
Select More, then Attachments, in the editor. Add files on the agreement slide opens the same list. Select Add PDF files and pick one or more PDFs, such as your terms and conditions, a contract or a spec sheet. A proposal holds up to 10 files of up to 10 MB each, and your plan sets how much your organization can store in all; see plans and billing. In the steps, Check & send has an Attachments row that opens the same list.
Change a file's name, move it up or down, or remove it. Undo brings a removed file back. Your client sees the changes after you publish. A file you remove counts towards your storage for another day, so Undo can still bring it back.
We check that it is a PDF and look for obvious scripts in the file. We don't look inside compressed content and we don't scan for viruses. Only people in your team can add files. If a file is refused, the list says which one and why. Files that need a password to open are refused too: your client couldn't read them.
Below the proposal, your client gets a Documents list in the order you set, with a link to it at the top of the page. Each file downloads with its name. A private proposal needs the email code first, as for reading it. When they sign, the sign panel lists the files and the tick box reads "I agree to this proposal, its terms and the attached documents".
Once signed, the files can no longer change and stay available with the proposal. The signed PDF lists each file with its SHA-256 fingerprint. To check a downloaded file against it, run shasum -a 256 on a Mac or certutil -hashfile <file> SHA256 on Windows: the two must be the same.
