Describe a proposal and get a draft
What to write, what the AI picks, the Chosen, Not found and Check these lists, the daily limits and where your words go.
Updated
Instead of filling in each step yourself, you can describe the proposal in your own words. The proposal AI picks the type of work, the lines from your price list, your cases and the client, writes the slides, and opens the draft in the steps for you to check.
It works from what is already in Propozit. The better your price list, cases and standards are, the better the draft. See Your first proposal in eight steps to set them up.
Describe the proposal
- Select Decks, then New proposal. It opens on Describe it.
- In What is this proposal for?, write what you would tell a colleague: who it is for, what you will do, roughly how long, who works on it, the extras the client can add, and the language.
- Select Draft the proposal.
Write between 20 and 2,000 characters. Not sure where to start? Change one of the examples under the box.
For example:
Website rebuild for Halden Coffee, about three months. One medior developer full time, a senior developer as an option, and a strip card as an extra. In Dutch.
Use the names from your price list and your clients where you can. "Medior developer" finds the product called Medior developer; "the usual" finds nothing.
To fill in the steps yourself instead, select Pick a type. It is always one tap away.
While it drafts
Drafting takes about a minute. The screen ticks off three stages: Choosing the type and prices, Writing the slides and Checking. If the page reloads, or you open it in a second tab, it carries on with the same draft. It never makes two.
If something goes wrong, you get a short message and two choices: Try again, which keeps your description, or Start with steps instead.
What it picks
- The type of work, such as a retainer or a fixed-price project, with your own standard for that type.
- Lines from your price list, each in its place: included, optional, or a plan the client picks.
- People on a fixed-price project, with days from the length you give.
- The client, if you named one you already have. A new client is suggested but not added until you add them yourself in Type & client.
- Cases from your library that match the work.
- The text of the cover, challenge, approach, scope, timeline, team roles and bios, and thank-you slide, in the deck's language.
Prices only ever come from your price list. The AI picks a product; Propozit adds it with your price, in the proposal's currency. The AI never sets an amount, a day rate or a discount, even if your description asks it to.
It writes only into fields that are empty or still hold your standard text. Anything you typed yourself stays as it is.
Check the draft
The draft opens in the steps with a Drafted with AI summary at the top:
- Chosen shows the type, the client, the language, the currency and each line with its price, for example "Care Basic · Monthly plan · included · €150 / month".
- Not found lists what you asked for that is not in your library, for example "No product matches 'strip card'". Add it in Options & prices, or add the product to your price list first.
- Check these lists the figures in the text that are not in your description, your prices or your cases, such as a number of hours, and every amount of money in the text, such as "€150". The AI was told not to invent figures or write prices, but check each one. Select one to go to it: in the steps, or in the editor for text the steps don't show.
To change it in your own words, ask the AI for changes.
Select Hide to fold the summary away, or Dismiss to close it. Then go through each step, look at the Preview, and send it when you are happy. The AI never sends or publishes anything.
Limits
Each person can draft 10 proposals a day, and each organization 20. The limit resets at midnight (UTC). When you reach it, you can still build a proposal in steps.
Your data
When you draft a proposal, your description goes to Claude by Anthropic, through Anthropic's API, with the proposal data it needs: your organization's name and type, your products and prices, deals and bonuses, add-on people's roles and rates, your cases (titles, clients, tags, taglines, summaries, numbers and results), client names and the template texts. Anthropic processes it in the United States, not the EU, and does not use it to train its models. We plan to move AI processing to an EU provider. Nothing goes to any other AI service. Your description, the things it could not find and any new client name it suggested are deleted after 30 days. The privacy page has the details.
