A portfolio is a deck that shows your work, without prices or an agreement. You pick cases from your library, and Propozit builds the deck in your brand. You send it the same way as a proposal, and you see when it was opened and what was read.

What goes in

  1. Select Decks in the sidebar, then New portfolio. On a client's page, New portfolio starts one for that client.
  2. Under For, pick a client, or no one for a general portfolio. The title fills in from the client, such as "Portfolio for Halden Hotels", until you type your own.
  3. Pick the language and the contact person. The contact is shown on the last slide.
  4. Tick the cases to show, up to 20. Short cases always come before long ones; Move up and Move down set the order within each.
  5. Select Create portfolio. The deck opens in the editor.

The deck is built in this order:

  • a cover with your organization's name, and the client's logo when the portfolio is for a client;
  • an about slide, but only when you have a saved slide of the About type in the portfolio's language;
  • a logo wall, when at least 3 of your clients have a logo;
  • "Selected work" and one slide of cards with your short cases;
  • each long case on its own pages;
  • a thank-you slide with the contact person.

Members can make portfolios too. With an empty library, owners and admins can select Add an example case to start with one.

Short and long cases

Each case in your library is short or long. You choose this in the case form, under Kind. See Reuse your work.

  • A short case is a card: the first image, the client and title, the tagline (or the summary), the first number, and the tags.
  • A long case gets its own run of pages: a cover with the first image, the title and tagline, then the summary and up to 4 numbers, the story sections, the results, the client quote, and the other images, grouped by their label.

Blocks you left empty are left out, so a long case without a quote has no quote page.

The cases are copied into the portfolio. Changing a case in the library later never changes a portfolio you already made.

Edit it

The portfolio opens in the same editor as a proposal, with the live preview. Add, hide or move slides, and change any text. Add slide leaves out the slides for prices and signing: pricing, the payment schedule, the terms and the agreement.

A portfolio has no steps, so the slide editor needs a screen at least 1024 pixels wide.

Send it

Publish and Send work as they do for a proposal. See Send a proposal and get it signed.

  • The email's subject starts as "Portfolio:" and the title, and the button reads Open the portfolio.
  • Access (under More in the top bar) decides who can open it: Private with allowed emails, or Public.
  • A portfolio has no valid-until date, so it never expires.

What your client sees

Your client opens the link and enters their email address to get a 6-digit code, just as for a proposal. The cover's small title reads "Portfolio", and the page talks about a portfolio, never a proposal. On a phone the deck becomes an easy scroll, and Download PDF prints it.

There is no Sign and no Ask for a change.

Follow what happens

The decks list shows a Portfolio chip next to the title, and its status: Draft, Published, Changed since, Sent or Opened. The first time your client opens it, the contact person gets an email. In the editor, Activity (under More in the top bar) shows who you sent it to, who opened it and the read time per slide.
